Sooo we had Horse Judging yesterday. It was the first time any of us from my 4-H group competed in Horse Judging.
There were some tough classes to judge, but it was a pretty fun day.
We had to judge Miniature Halter, Draft Horse Geldings in Hand, Sporthorse in Hand, Hunter Under Saddle, and Wester Pleasure, with 4 horses in each class.
I placed the Western Pleasure class correctly, and in Hunter Under Saddle and Draft Horse Geldings in Hand, I got 3 out of 4 placings correct. I got 2 out of 4 placings correct in both Miniature Halter and Sporthorse in Hand.
Seniors had to give reasons for Miniature Halter and Western Pleasure.
For my Miniature Halter reasons I got 41 out of 50 points, and for Western Pleasure, I got 36 out of 50 points.
I came in 3rd place for Hampden County Seniors, out of around 15 or so.
And then I came in 8th place overall out of all 30 seniors for all of Western MA. =]
Another girl from my club, Ashlyn, placed 4th in Hampden County Seniors, and 9th overall for seniors.

What.
The.
Fuck.
I HATE the fact that my family is so God damn fucking racist.
Today we were out at dinner, and this man came in with his wife, and he was Cuban. You could tell that he was mentally handicapped or something, because he was yelling out things, and he wasn't speaking right and stuff, and you could just tell. Well, at least I could tell. >.<
My grandma looks at my aunt and goes "Ok, is this guy challenged, or is he just an asshole?" and then my grandpa goes "He probably just came straight off the boat."
WTF.

Equine Affaire <333333
It was love.
We went on Saturday, then went to Pfizer Fantasia that night.
We saw Clinton Anderson do a demo, and Gina Miles teach a jumping clinic.
I got a saddle pad and a matching fly bonnet, a bit warmer, a new french link D-ring snaffle, and I renewed my subscription to Massachusetts Horse magainze.

When the sun came up,
We were sleeping in,
Sunk inside our blankets,
Sprawled across the bed,
And we were dreaming,
There are moments when,
When I know it and
The world revolves around us,
And we're keeping it,
Keep it all going,
This delicate balance,
Vulnerable all knowing,
Sing like you think no one's listening,
You would kill for this,
Just a little bit,
Just a little bit,
You would, kill for this
Sing like you think no one's listening,
You would kill for this,
Just a little bit,
Just a little bit,
You would, you would...
Sing me something soft,
Sad and delicate,
Or loud and out of key,
Sing me anything,
We're glad for what we've got,
Done with what we've lost
Our whole lives laid out right in front of us,
Sing like you think no one's listening,
You would kill for this,
Just a little bit,
Just a little bit,
You would,
Sing like you think no one's listening,
You would kill for this,

RAWR.
I'm angry about this weekend. Someone that was supposed to show up didn't. >.<
It was still fun though.
Hopefully she'll show up on the next trip.
My grandma is talking to Chris about Buster soon. Like, soon, soon. She wanted to do it this weekend, but me & Jennie aren't going to the barn this weekend, we're going to Equine Affaire instead. So she's gonna find out a day when she's gonna be free during the week or something and let me know so we can go up there. =]

I hate how I ride backwards.
Not literally, obviously? But like, in my head.
Yesterday my trainer wanted me to ride Zeke for her. He's one of the schoolies, and he's good as a push button horse, for walk/trotters that don't do anything. But a lot of them are starting to want to canter, and they are getting better with their riding, but that can't do it on him. He's a little snot when it comes to cantering for them, and all he does is get out of control and trot as fast as he can and charges into the canter like a mad beast. So my trained wanted me to school him for her, so he remembers what a correct canter transition is, and so he remembers how to do one. xD
But anyways, I had no problem with him. I knew that I had to ride defensively with him, and I was going to have to get after him most likely. And I was fine with it. Whenever I get on horses that I'm comfortable with, and that I know they know what they're doing, like Buster or someone, is more when I tend to get nervous. But if I get asked to school a horse like that, or I'm riding a horse that I know I'm going to have to get after and ride defensively, is when I don't get nervous? I actually enjoyed riding him, and I was kind of looking forward to it. I was in the mood to train a horse. I wasn't scared at all, and I had completely faith in myself that I could ride this horse, and get him to do what he needed to do.
On a horse that knows what he's doing, and will do it without any problem when I ask, are the horses that I doubt myself on. Maybe I was brain damaged as a child.
