So me and two other girls from my club competed at the MA State 4-H Round Up this weekend. This is the first year that anyone in our club has competed at Horse Judging, Hippology and Horse Judging even at the local level, even though we've been around for 4 years, lol. But in order to go to the state round up, we had to qualify at the local/regional level first. Originally at the regional level, I got 1st in my county in Hippology, and 1st overall for Seniors (ages 14-18) in Western MA. And I placed 3rd in my county for Horse Judging, and 8th overall for Seniors in Western MA.

The State Round Up was held at a water park/hotel, and we were there for the whole weekend, and it was wicked fun. =D

Friday we got there late, ate, studied with my leader, and then crashed. xD
Saturday was Hippology and Horse Bowl. I ended up getting 5th overall for Seniors in Massachusetts in Hippology. The top four placing seniors get to go to Nationals in KY in November, and the fifth place person is the alternate. So I get to study and stuff with the team, and if any one of the top four drops out, I get to go to Kentuckyyyyyy. =D

Then this morning we had Horse Judging. We had five classes to judge - HUS, Western Pleasure, Hunt Seat Eq. w/ a pattern, Appaloosa in Hand, and Hunter in Hand. They were pretty hard since half the horses we had to judge were spazzes, had bad riders, or were lame. -.o
I placed the HUS and WP classes correctly, and only missed by one or two places on the others.
Then we had to present reasons for HUS and Hunter in Hand. I did good on my reasons for Hunter In Hand, but I completely failed on my reasons for HUS. It took me like, 30 seconds, when it should take you around a minute or a minute and a half. xD
I still managed to place 9th overall for Seniors in MA out of like, 40 people or so that qualified from 11 counties. The amount of people and counties was around the same for the Hippology too.
